October 2, 2017: Residency at Willapa Bay Air
Daniel has been selected as an Artist-in-Residence at Willapa Bay where he will work during March 2018.  As one of six fellows, Daniel will compose and work amidst the scenic backdrop of Washington's Pacific Coastline.


2016

May 1, 2016: CD Release from PRISM Quartet
The PRISM Quartet has recorded Daniel's Blossoming on their new CD "The Curtis Project" (XAS-101/Naxos), alongside works by Jennifer Higdon, David Ludwig, Gabriella Smith, and others.  The album is available for purchase through Itunes, Amazon, and other outlets.  To read more about the album, click here.

March 28, 2016: Intimacy of Creativity 2016, Hong Kong
Daniel's orchestral work Rising Moon has been selected by conductor Bright Sheng for a performance with the Hong Kong Philharmonic as part of the 2016 Intimacy of Creativity Festival in Hong Kong.


2015

December 21, 2015: Glick Prize from Indianapolis Symphony
Daniel's Cataclysm has been awarded the 2015 Marilyn K. Glick Prize from the Indianapolis Symphony. Originally commissioned by the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic and Artistic Director Jeffery Meyer, Cataclysm is the final movement of Daniel's larger suite From Distant Dreams.
Cataclysm will be performed on the Indianapolis Symphony's Lilly Classical Series subscription concert on March 18, 2016, conducted by Maestro Santtu-Matias Rouvali.


2014

May 16, 2014: Daniel Receives his 2nd BMI Award
Daniel receives his 2nd BMI Award for his orchestral work From Distant Dreams. The piece was selected in an anonymous call for scores by a panel of judges which included Kristin Kuster, Bernard Rands, Kevin Puts, Sean Shepherd, and others.
